Do You Need A Permit Or Planning Permission For Demolition?

Learn The Answers With Ryan Colson

There are hundreds of reasons as to why a property owner would decide to demolish a building. Maybe you’re a homeowner, whose garage has fallen into disrepair and feel a garden could work better instead. Perhaps you’re a business owner who deserves a building to match your fast-paced industry. Or maybe, you’ve been just plain unlucky and have found an array of faulty wiring and damaged integral structures meaning it would be better to just scrap the lot and build anew. Whatever your reason, it’s important to know the rules and regulations when starting such a project, and one of the most common questions we receive is: “Do I need a permit or planning permission for demolition?”

The short answer of this is: It depends. It all comes down to the type of building being demolished. Here at Colson Transport, we want to make your life a little easier, so you know exactly what you need to get the demolition process going.

Our CEO, Ryan Colson, is an expert in waste disposal solutions and demolition services. Below, he gives his answers to some of our most commonly asked questions about demolition.
